The Indigenous People of Biafra says members of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore will meet their demise if they attempt to hurt any Nigerian of Igbo extraction in the country.
While speaking through a statement by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, the Nnamdi Kanu-led group said the Miyetti Allah will lose if it tries to carry out its threat.
The IPOB said this in reaction to threat by the herders' group that they would avenge the death of every herdsman killed in the South-East.
SaharaReporters had earlier reported how the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore vowed to take both legal and cultural actions in avenging the killing of its 50 members, it said had died in the hands of the IPOB in the last one month.
Spokesman for the group, Saleh Alhassan, disclosed this while reacting to the killing of one of the commanders of Indigenous People of Biafra gunned down by security operatives last Saturday.
Alhassan, speaking on Thursday had said, “The security agencies should intensify efforts in dealing with all those terrorists killing Fulani herders, burning police stations, prisons and destroying institutions in the South-East.” See Also
Insecurity We’ll Avenge Death Of Every Herdsman Killed In South-East By Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB, Miyetti Allah Threatens 0 Comments 7 Hours Ago
Alhassan said at least 50 herders had been killed in the South-East in the last one month, adding that his group would avenge the death of those members.
He said, “So far, more than 50 herders have been killed in the South-East in the last one month, we have the record and the Igbo terrorists led by Nnamdi Kanu will pay for everybody they killed.
“It is unfortunate that they have forgotten history, how we saved a lot of Igbos in the North during the Civil War but now they are killing our people. They are making a grievous mistake. We will take necessary steps, both legal and cultural steps, to avenge the killings of our members.”
Reacting on Thursday night, the IPOB said such an intimidation was meant for the South-East governors, not for the pro-Biafra group.
It added that it would 'be blood for blood.'
"Miyetti Allah, hear this: IPOB is not South-East Governors that you can threaten and get away with. We are the same IPOB that collapsed the #Zoo," the IPOB partly said in the statement.
It further reiterated that its major task is to kill the Fulani murderers marauding as herders.
"We are after every killer herdsman. We’re after you Fulani terrorists and murderers masquerading as herdsmen.
"If you implement this your threat, it shall be your last. We no longer believe in turning the other cheek, it is now blood for blood and you will lose," the statement concluded.
President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences to the families of people recently killed by suspected Fulani militia in Benue State, while condemning Governor Samuel Ortom for blaming him for the deaths.
The Presidency, in a State House press release on Thursday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, titled ‘Governor Ortom Only Sees The Problems Of Others, He Doesn’t See His Own,’ accused the Benue State governor of politicising the killings.
Buhari said the “rising levels of incidents, especially the killings and violence in various parts of the country calls for further collaboration with security agencies to curb its recurrence”.
“The President expresses his condolences to the families of our dear citizens who lost their loved ones in the recent spate of killings in Benue State,” it said.
Ortom on Tuesday accused President Buhari of working for the Fulani ethnic stock to take over Nigeria.
He spoke in reaction to the recent killing of residents allegedly perpetrated by herdsmen in parts of the North-Central state.
He also lamented that no fewer than 70 people had been killed in the last two weeks in three local governments in the state.
The governor, who said the killings should not continue, said, “What is happening now, to me, is very clear; Mr President is just working for these Fulanis to take over the whole country.
“His body language is what is being played out. The body language, the action and inaction of Mr President shows that he is only the President of Fulani people; I have known this.”
In his reaction to Ortom’s statements, the Presidency said, “He (Buhari) also states his disappointment and sadness to hear Samuel Ortom, the Governor of Benue State make a litany of accusations against his person and his government of following the recent unfortunate incidents in the state.
“No responsible government takes pleasure in such events as the killing of the military and that of innocent citizens taking refuge in an Internally Displaced People’s camp. President Buhari is deeply pained by the terrible acts of violence happening not only in Benue State but also in other parts of the country and expects that the law enforcement agencies will go to every possible extent to catch the perpetrators of these heinous acts and bring them to justice.
“The lives of fellow citizens should not be desecrated by deploying them in political diatribe which unfortunately appeared to be the intent of the string of emotional attacks and blame laid at the doors of the President for those killings by Governor Ortom. President Buhari took an oath to defend the life and property of every citizen, a duty he takes seriously and is committed to ensuring.
“Those citizens regardless of their affiliations, who either incite, sponsor or are proven to be abettors of these atrocities will face the law squarely and be answerable for their crimes against our fellow citizens and nation.
“President Buhari continuously stresses that the strength of our country lies in our diversity in faith, culture, and traditions and attempts to sharpen the divide between northern and southern Nigeria, between Muslims and Christians, and between communities that have coexisted for centuries should be frowned upon and resisted. As Nigerians, we accuse colonial rulers of the policy of divide and rule. Today, it is our own leaders who put region against region, religion against religion, ethnic group against ethnic group and community against community.
“The future of Benue State and indeed that of the entire country lies in harmony and the respect for law, order, and the constitution. It is the only way to achieve progress and development.
“While the President will continue to keep security, police and the armed forces on their toes to be on top of their act in troubled parts of the country, the situation in the states will greatly be helped by everyone working together because that is the foundation on which progress and prosperity can be achieved.”
Seeking more cooperation with Ortom, the Presidency said, “Benue under the Ortom administration ought to cooperate with the Federal Government in the implementation of a number of national strategies programs in addressing underlying issues militating against peace, progress and development. This can still get done when the interest of the people is placed above all other interests. A government voted into office by the people, should treat the people as its masters and not as its servants.”

Chief of Army Staff Major General Ibrahim Attahiru
The COAS, who was visiting Borno state for the fifth time since his appointment four months ago, said that the regular visits were to boost the morale of the troops, reassure them and listen to any issues affecting them.
He added that Boko Haram had been defeated in many encounters and would continue to be defeated until they are totally annihilated from Nigeria.
“We will take on Boko Haram decisively, and we are committed to the focus of the operations which is the total annihilation of Boko Haram from Nigeria,” Attahiru said.
Boko Haram and its offshoot, Islamic State West Africa Province, have killed thousands and displaced millions in North-Eastern Nigeria.
Thousands of people have been killed and millions more displaced in over a decade of the group’s activities in the country.
The Nigerian military has repeatedly claimed that the insurgency had been largely defeated and frequently underplays any losses.
In the past months, soldiers have been targeted by the insurgents, who wait in ambush for them.
Scores of soldiers and officers have been reportedly killed since January 2021.
At least 33 soldiers were recently killed when two explosive-laden vehicles rammed into a military convoy in Wulgo.
The suicide bombers were identified as Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Bana Jundullah. The group also claimed four military vehicles were destroyed.
In February, about 20 soldiers were also killed in Malari, Borno State by the insurgents.
SaharaReporters gathered that the soldiers were on patrol to clear some Boko Haram elements in the area following credible intelligence when they were ambushed by the group.
On Sunday, Boko Haram attacked an army location at 156 Battalion in Mainok area, Borno State, killing over 30 soldiers.
SaharaReporters gathered that the terrorists who came in no fewer than 15 gun trucks also burnt down the military base.
A source said the gunmen came in different groups and could not be counted.
The insurgents also set ablaze a Nigerian army tanker and some buildings in the military base.

Ejike Mbaka, has praised the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, for speaking against the marginalisation of the Igbo people in Nigeria.
Mbaka, in a viral video obtained by SaharaReporters, was heard praising the IPOB leader.
Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka
The cleric said although he had not met Nnamdi Kanu before, he likes his courage. According to him, it is not wrong for someone to have courage and say that his people are maltreated.
"I want to tell you something, wherever he (Kanu) is, May God bless him because if somebody has risen to shout (that) his brothers are suffering, may the Lord bless his courage," Mbaka said.
Politics News AddThis : Original Author : SaharaReporters, New York Disable advertisements :Auwal Daudawa, a notorious bandit in Zamfara State, known as the mastermind of the abduction of over 300 schoolboys from Kankara in Katsina State, has abandoned the Amnesty programme of Governor Ballo Matawalle and returned to the forest to pick up arms.
He had only recently embraced the Amnesty programme and celebrated by the government of Matawalle in Zamfara.
Auwal Daudawa Daily Trust
A security source and two other sources close to the bandit confirmed to Daily Trust on Wednesday that Daudawa had relocated to one of the forests close to the border with Katsina.
Daudawa coordinated the mass abduction of the students of Government Secondary School Kankara, on December 12, 2020, the first of such abduction by any criminal group outside Boko Haram in the North-East.
About two months later, Daudawa was paraded before the governor in Gusau, where he proclaimed his decision to be a changed man.
Daudawa and five of his lieutenants surrendered 20 AK 47 rifles, ammunition and a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher, during the ceremony.
Sources familiar with Daudawa’s latest decision said he and his family and lieutenants had relocated to Jaja forest in the Zurmi Local Government Area on Monday.
“He called one of his contacts in Gusau to inform him that he had arrived at the forest and decided to pick up arms again. He did not inform anybody before he left,” one of the sources said.
Daudawa was said to have been frustrated by the lack of proper engagement after surrendering his arms.
He was and members of his gang who repented were housed in a government chalet for weeks before a house was secured for him in Damba, on the outskirts of Gusau, to move in with his family.
“His upkeep was being shouldered by the government. I don’t know what it was he needed. Perhaps his tall expectations were not met,” a security source in Gusau disclosed.
This is a major setback for the Zamfara State government's controversial Amnesty programme, which Governor Matawalle had described as the only way to bring peace to the state.

She wants £18m for “past pain and suffering”, £18m for “future pain and suffering” and £18m in punitive damages.
Daily Mail
The 37-year-old’s expenses rack up to £1.4m with legal fees of £1.1m giving a total of £56.5m – equal to two years of the Juventus star’s salary.
Ronaldo, 36, vigorously denies Mayorga’s claims, the UK Mirror reports.
In 2010 she accepted $375,000 (£270,000) as part of an out-of-court non-disclosure settlement.
But three years ago, Mayorga filed a civil lawsuit in Las Vegas saying she had been “mentally incapacitated” when she agreed to it and signed it under duress.
Her legal team has filed a list of more than 60 witnesses they want to testify
They include British former Big Brother star Jasmine Lennard, 35, who claims she dated the former Manchester United ace 10 years ago.
Also on the list are three police officers who investigated the original complaint, Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes and adviser Andy Quinn.
Ronaldo has said: “I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me.
"Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in.”
