Court Removes Kwankwaso's Anointed As Kano PDP Governorship Candidate

A Federal High Court sitting in Kano State has disqualified Abba Kabir Yusuf as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Lewis Allagoa, the Kano High Court Judge, gave the ruling on Monday.

Yusuf’s candidature was challenged by Ibrahim Al-Amin Little, another PDP aspirant.

Yusuf is popularly referred to as the anointed candidate of Rabiu Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the PDP.

The governorship election is slated for Saturday, March 9, 2019.
